I rather wish he had had the courage of his convictions tue made that the central argument he was trying to make, instead of making several references throughout the book. Americans are brainwashed by the information provided by the media, which instinctively and distinguishably misinforms and misguides Americans. And so we make up boogiemen.


I think Glassner’s book is important for the general population to read, but unfortunately I believe that the people reading it already know that these “fears” are completely ridiculous. If you are like me and have family members who seem to be fearful of everything in the world these days, this book will provide you with lots of good information with which to counter those fears. It is called mass hysteria. It was nurtured from dislike to vocal mass hysteria.
