So like most ‘children’s books’ that I’ve read, the two main characters, John and Philippa, where more mature for their age, but I think that aspect fit in nicely with the rest of the story.

My 10 year old daughter really enjoyed it in fact, when she read my review, she told me that she completely disagreed with my criticism so we will be giving the second book a chance.

Children of the Lamp 1: They end up trapping him in the same jar as their uncle is in! I highly recommend this series. Their parents will let them fly over by themselves if they just tell their mother that they want to.
